Bye bye balls…

We brought Joseph to the vet last Friday to have his balls removed. It’s all for the sake of his well being and health. You wouldn’t want to have a dog getting upset because there’s nowhere to vent his sexual frustrations. And you even wouldn’t want to have a dog humping at non-living objects and on human beings. It might seem funny to see a dog humping onto the leg of someone, but not to the person being humped by the dog!

Joseph, to our surprise, recovered fast from the surgery. He was groggy for the first night but regained almost all of his energy the next morning. He was seen jumping high and low and running around the house, as though his balls are still intact. Mum and I were worried that he could have injured himself but there’s nothing we can do to make him stay still or at least, stop moving about actively.

He has been wearing the buster collar since the surgery to prevent him from licking the wounds. And man, it looks like he enjoyed the presence of the collar around his neck. He was spotted sailing around the house daintily, showing everyone what a pride it was to have a buster collar around his neck, even if it means having trouble eating and drinking from the bowl. Last evening, he didn’t look quite pleased when we removed the collar from him. So we have to put it on for him again.

The other day at the MRT I saw a short fat macik in traditional clothes and wearing a scarf. She was moving around pretty slowly like she was limping. And then I thought that was Mas Selamat in disguise but alas, it was my mistake. But you can’t blame me for that right? I am just being alert you know.
