I am missing so many entries but there are times when you have to prioritize the more important things and sadly, blogging comes last under the list of to-dos.

From watching Mission Impossible to War of the Worlds, I discovered that Tom Cruise, though not of a manly height, is a fast runner. That’s why – never judge a book by its cover.

That was just disgraceful of Ronaldo. Poor Rooney. Portugal makes no difference from Korea in terms of ‘chopping’ a place in the finals, that is, if you know what I’m driving at. Till now, it seems like a dream that there won’t be any Germans running on the field during the grand finals. That’s it; the most unexpected things always catch you by surprise or shock.

The everyday nine to six life is routine and I can’t believe that I actually have no complains about that. Wretched right? Besides work, I can’t think of anything else to do at present. At least working keeps you occupied and there’s cash flowing into your bank account each month. It keeps your brain working and prevents it from rusting. The walk from Suntec to City hall maintains your physical fitness, though occasionally at the expense of breaking your legs.

Things that triggers your emotions –
i) To see a child wailing in a shopping mall cos his busy mother has lost him.
ii) To witness a cat/dog being squashed by a reckless car
iii) To watch Wei Lian singing on stage
iv) To have a friend ignoring you for the slightest things despite the years of friendship
v) To see your Dad lying in the ICU with tubes and needles penetrating into his skin but there is nothing you could do to lessen his pain

May God give me the serenity to accept things that I cannot change, the courage to change things that I can and the wisdom to know which’s which. Certain things have given me the urge to return to His side. Yet till now, I’m doubtful, not in Him but in myself. All that surrounded me was peace and calm as I browsed around in Mount Zion last afternoon. Amazing how Christ could bring upon one the tranquility, just like floating on still waters.

Two days before the surgery, my Dad was in his ward when he started engaging into a conversation with a man, who was there to visit his boy.

Visitor: Are you a Christian?
Dad: (jokingly) Was. But now I am a rebellion.
The visitor just smiled and replied, “Never mind, Jesus loves you the same.” And following that was a prayer he delivered for my Dad.
