Instead of pursuing possessions, pursue peace, justice and love.
Instead of buying things, build relationships.
Instead of seeking more money, seek to minister to those around you.
You won't believe the difference that kind of life will make.

I have been wanting to blog about 02 March 2006 but recently; I’m downright lazy to remember things. That day was sort of a last gathering with my poly friends before we eventually go separate ways.

To my prediction yet a little unexpected, the outing turned out solemn than a happier one. It was a great day at orchard. You know, a sunny day with birds flying and people all around. No rain, all shine. However something was out of place – the thought that after that day, we might not be seeing each other as a group often.

We watched Final Destination, the gory, sadistic movie. It’s fine as long as it is one of the moments you can spend time with your friends.

We then hang out at Marchie’s for lunch, writing autographs for one another. This is one interesting idea which Shikin had came up with. Each of us brought an autograph book whereby everyone would write on it – just like reminiscing about the past and looking forward to the future. At least apart from memories, we still have a piece of everyone with us, the messages and wishes they have written on our autograph books.

That day ended with us parting at the crossroad.

=

The very first person I met when I stepped into this campus was Nisha, which was during the year-one orientation where she was sitting beside me, unnoticed, until when the student leader told us to greet the person next to us. Then along came Shikin with her initiative to exchange numbers. And I presumed at that point of time I’d leave this school, knowing only these 2 good friends and no one else.

Then somewhere down the route, Noreen sailed in so ever sleepily with the tort law PBL instructions.

And then ahead of the path Huda bounced in with a conveyancing role-play script and walking idly behind her was Nuraini, waving the family law mahjong paper at us. Finally with Nad’s entry with the criminal procedure pass, we made the gang of seven, which shaped life in school into an interesting and unforgettable one.

Lunches together at school canteens.

Sms-ing each other where we were when we arrived at school, which class/LT to go, what time exam starts, what topics to study etc.

Staying up till late at night in school to meet project deadlines.

Printing stuffs for one another.

Having long phone conversations over confusing PBL assignments and others chitty chattys.

Laughing endlessly at each other’s comments and jokes.

Attending tutorials and lectures together.

Making little trips to the school bookshop.

Coming to school early to print out reports and booking PCs for each other.

You thought that the above things we did together never that significant to commit to memory. But this is until when you stopped doing them.

... seen through it and moved on.
