Had been isolated from the PC for the past 4 days. Everyday when I came back after work, I would be too exhuasted to even click on the mouse moreover to serve the internet. Standing for 10 hours is no joke. Every night the moment I close my eyes, I see various models of MP3s and me talking to customers and customers asking questions about MP3s and me distributing flyers to customers.

Working at the creative technology roadshow was a new experience yet a worthwhile one. I learnt a lot of things about sales management and I guess by now, I've realised that the customer service line is actually not as bad as what I think.

Since last Thursday till yesterday, I had been waking up everyday at 8am to get ready for work. The roadshow was located at the Singapore Expo together with many other electronics company. During the first day, Aunt and I were so nervous we actually visited the toliet for a couple of times.

At the work place, each of us staffs were given 2 T-shirts with the Creative Tech logo printed on it. We were then given a brief talk on the various MP3s we had to promote. Was really feeling God damn shit at first because I had never operated an MP3 before.

But after a while, I got used to it and find that all MP3s are actually rather of the same kind and function. Interacting with the customers and introducing to them about the products was an interesting process. Most were a pleasure to chat with while a minority of them were rather irritating.

So this was how it went, Aunt and I and about 3 of others staffs were told to be in charge at one of the creative booths of 8 MP3s demos. Whenever we had this bloody thing known as 'free gifts promotions', the crowd at our booth would be like a huge mass of hungry kids. Its real funny how kiasu Singaporeans can get.

Especially the last 2 days of the roadshow which happened to be a Sat and Sun, the crowd increased and there were lots of people. It seemed like I could never even have the time for a sip of water depsite my drying throat.

Standing non-stop for ten hours was the worst thing but on the brighter note, it can actually test my limits. Oh ya and yesterday at work, I saw Alan Tern the mediacorp artiste. LOL. But I wasn't excited because that was not Jay Chou or F4.

In case you are wondering, no. I didn't make any new friends at all. I don't see the need to lah. I don't even bother to check out their names. And they don't even care too. They are mostly rather friendly but they didn't ooze any warmth. We addressed each other as 'Hi', 'Hello', 'Eh'.. 'Excuse me'.. etc etc... Come to think of lyrics like F4's 'Di Yi Shi Jian' or Emil Chou's 'Friends' are actually bullshit. A whole load of craps. Rather depend on myself.

Yesterday, I was feeling extra hyper after work because that was the last day. It was already near 10pm but Aunt and I made a trip to the airport from the Spore Expo. lol. To eat Genki sushi. At 10pm! Later after a very long story of happenings, we ended up at the Islamic coffee shop for roti pratas.

And yeah forgot to mention, the SI finalists did not attend the exhibition. Though the SI sponsors were there promoting their products (Olympus, Starhub, Creative Tech), I think they did not invite the finalists. I'm quite surprised about that. But still, it a relief Sly and Taufik were not there. Its a diaster not to be able to concentrate on work and seeing a whole throng of crazy screaming girls.
