Geez. Just read one of my fellow-fellow-blog mates' entry. What he said is quite true actually lah. He's actually discussing about typical Singaporeans. Like any usual thing, I guess among all people around me, only less than 15% actually voted for the Singapore Idol weekly. They watched, they give comments, they criticize after each performances. But they DON'T VOTE (of course those under 18 can understand. They have to seek parents consent), even if they have any favourites inside.

They will hope that their favourite one would get into the next round. But they never vote. They rely on others fans to do the job. Duh!

Then when their favourite contestant is out, they go on complaining and ranting, blaming it all on the other weaker contestant who manage to get into the next round. But hey, how can you blame the other party if you yourself didn't make an effort to do your part?

Some think their vote doesn't matters so they didn't vote. But if everyone thinks like that, it'd be bad. Isn't it? Then others will find excuses saying they don't know their favourite contestant's number so they cannot vote. Problem is, if you don't know, have you even bother to check it out or ask around?

Then they proceed to complaining the 50 cents per vote thingy is unfair and only in favor for those rich ones. They complained that 50 cents is expensive. But then weird thing is, they can afford a meal at Mac Donald's (which is 100 times more than 50 cents). They rant that this competition is only for those contestants who are rich. They complain, complain and make more complains about how the voting system sucks (though I think it is). But then, they NEVER pick up their phone to call or even make the slightest effort to vote.

Every vote counts. Even if it is just one.

What's the use of sulking when you didn't make a vote in the first place?

For me, I guess even if my favourite one is out. I have the rights to complain and swear unlike those who didn't sms or call. Because I did vote for him. I'm not like sitting back, commenting on the show, don't vote, then complain like shit when he gets eliminated. Just like those who voted, I guess they also have the rights to make comments about the results.

Just to share, I mentioned in my blog last night that initially Sly is in the 4th before the results are out. The news spread to all Sly fans. They panicked and quickly make more votes just about one hour before the phone lines are closed. In the end, Sly is safe. Man, my sis's friend was at the results show last night. The whole row of Sly fans were crying madly when Daph and Sly were the ones left standing.

Close shave man. Daph lose to him only by 154 votes.
